How do I enter?
Two ways, both free — no purchase necessary. (1) Fill out the online form at makingchips.com/giveaway (one base entry per person). (2) At IMTS 2026, pick up “Chips” at the Hennig/AME booth (#339133, South Hall), then check in at participating SponsorChips booths — each check-in earns one bonus entry. Bonus entries require a valid online entry first.
What's the prize?
One DN Solutions SVM 4100 vertical machining center, valued at approximately $80,000, provided by DN Solutions and Kennametal.
Who can enter?
Legal U.S. residents (50 states + D.C.) who are 18 or older. Employees, officers, and directors of the sponsors, administrator, and participating companies — plus their immediate family and household members — are not eligible.
How can I earn more entries?
Only at IMTS. Bring a Chip to each participating sponsor booth — Kennametal, DN Solutions, SMW Autoblok, Paperless Parts, and Hennig & AME — and complete their check-in. One bonus entry per sponsor. Bonus entries can be earned during show hours Monday, Sept. 14 through the start of the drawing Friday, Sept. 18th.
When and how is the winner chosen?
A random drawing on Friday, September 18, 2026, announced live on the IMTS main stage around 2:55 PM CT. You don’t need to be present to win. Odds depend on the total number of eligible entries.
What happens if I win?
You’ll be notified by email and/or phone. You may need to sign an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, publicity release, and an IRS W-9 within about seven days. The prize won’t be released until the tax form is received.
Are there costs if I win?
Yes. Delivery, installation, rigging, freight, insurance, site prep, and all applicable taxes are the winner’s responsibility. An IRS Form 1099 will be issued for the prize value where required.
